The past. The present.

Sometimes when I’m finished writing a post I click the button at the top that says random post.  It brings up some post from the past.  I usually do this two or three times before I go to bed.

This was a post from March 4th 2007.

I’ve seen this meme around this week and I thought it was very insightful so decided it would be nice to do.  It’s amazing to think how much has happened in the last 20 years.

As I type this.  Adam is in the kitchen making brownies.  And then pasta with pumpkin and sausage.  One of our favorites.  Tomorrow we are going to make Christmas cards while a huge pot of home made pasta sauce simmers on the stove.  We’ll have some for dinner tomorrow night.  On the super fresh pasta we bought today at Eatily.  A great new market in Manhattan.

Now I have to go make a drink and sit and watch Adam cook.

My son is gay!

It took me 90 fucking minutes to get home tonight.  Normally it’s no more than an hour.  Usually less.

So.

Most of you probably have seen this around on Facebook or other blogs.  It makes me smile every time I read it.  And I’ve read it at last four or five times now.

So in case you haven’t read it,  click on the link and read the post.  It will make you smile.  And perhaps tear up a little.
