Gay Pride.

Famous Homos:   Chuck Palahniuk. The first rule of fight club: DON’T talk about fight club. Second rule of fight club: Don’t talk about fight club. Yes, the man behind the awesome book Fight Club is a homo.

Gay pride was awesome.  The energy on the street was buzzing and it really felt different than years past.  Adam thought it would be fun to march in the parade and after he suggested it, I thought it sounded like a great idea.  So we did it.  We were joined by Chuck and the three of us held our signs high (Adam actually had a flag) and we marched.  It was a lot of fun.  We marched with the Marriage Equality New York.  We got t-shirts and signs.  Unfortunately everyone thought the three of us ACTUALLY went to Albany to fight for equality, when all we really did was show up, put on a t-shirt and march.  We sort of felt guilty.

By the time we got home we were beat.  I’d convince Adam to watch a movie, which we never do.  I think he was awake through the opening credits.  Thirty minutes in, his head was in my lap and he was snoring quietly.  I stayed awake for the whole time.  We were actually watch the first Harry Potter movie, because he wanted to watch them all before we see the last one.  They are all available right now on demand.  I have my doubts that he can stay awake for the rest of them.

I marched in the Gay Pride Parade in Chicago many years ago and got to meet Rod Blagojevich. Not like just in the parade but afterwards walking to the el.
