It’s 7:30 a.m. the day of the wedding. We are snoozing the alarm. And snoozing the alarm. And snoozing the alarm. We finally get up around 8:30 a.m. We are already behind schedule and we haven’t even gotten out of bed. We both take very fast showers, throw on some shorts, load the car and are out the door.
The one good thing we have is the list we made the night before. It’s a detailed list of everything that we need to do, what order they need to be done and who was doing what.
We arrive at the reception hall.
And away we go.
Okay, and that’s as far as I’m going tonight. It’s almost 1:00 a.m. and it’s the first night Adam and I will have gone to bed together in almost a week. It’s either spend an hour telling you about California or go have sex with my boyfriend.
Favorite quote of the day from Facebook:
I think he (Barack Obama) just may be the antichrist! You should read the Left Behind series…he is Nicholae Carpathia, no doubt!
And my response:
Are you serious? Just because you don’t agree with his views he’s the anti-christ? Really? Really? REALLY? I don’t know how to break it to you but the Left Behind series is fiction. Fiction!!! Stories that are made up. You have every right to believe in god, jesus or the holy ghost. But it’s a far reach to say that the President of the United States of America is the anti-christ. It’s laughable. Just because you don’t like his healthcare plan doesn’t make him evil. Or a socialist for that matter. He’s a man like any other man who makes mistakes and is fallible. I know many, many, Christians out there who believe in what he’s doing and they in no way believe his election to office was facilitated to bring about “the end of times.” As for me I’m much more afraid of the people out there who call themselves American Terrorists and talk about taking back the country and wishing him dead. If you don’t like Obama being president then vote him out in four years. (It wouldn’t let me type anything else).
Sorry to be on my soap box again, but really? The anti-christ? It’s fine to not approve of his healthcare bill but it’s a far stretch to say that he was sent here to destroy the world as we know it. I responded to someone today who said you had to be stupid to support Obama. I basically said that the problem with the Right’s argument is that they make it personal. They don’t pull out talking points and then argue against them. They tell me I’m unpatriotic and a socialist for supporting him. I don’t know of a single philosophy of George Bush’s that I agree with. And I didn’t understand why so many people supported him. But I don’t think they were stupid. Or unpatriotic. Or a lot of things. I love that over the past several weeks how many clips have been played about the consevative’s views on bad mouthing the president overlaid with todays rhetoric. There is a little bit of hypocrisy going on.
I just heard the water turn off in the shower.
I must go now.
